FTP help

I don't understand how to use my ftp capabilities. I've uploaded some files to my public_ftp folder using the Java program, but what address to do I give to my friend so he can access it? And I don't know what the username or password is.

The default account is:

ftp.yourdomain.com

user and password are the same as CPanel.

For security reason you do not want to this.

Better idea.

1. Create a ftp account. From the CPanel, FTP manager, FTP accounts, Add FTP account.
2. Login / Password would be the information you must give your friend so he can login.
3. Directory: /home/youraccount/public_html/directory
4. The directory must exist and should be the place where you upload the files for your friend.

If you want him to go directly into your public_html then put just a / in the "Directory" field.
