Hi to all.
I have tried installing a forum or blog on my site. I've gone through them all from fantastico. I download to drive then upload to Forum.htm. What next? When I try to access through browser to setup I can't get the page. I know I am missing something. Can someone please help? I have spent days on this.
Thanks,
Pat

If you install a script with Fantastico, there is no uploading or downloading involved. You'll be given the URL to the script after Fantastico finishes the install. All you need to do is visit the address you're given.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know how to install from Fantastico. It gives the website of the program and when clicked on it gives download, upload instructions. Can you please tell me how to install directly from Fantastico?
Thanks,
Pat

Ok, I'll give you an example with Wordpress.
Click the Fantastico icon from your cPanel menu.
Click Wordpress from the Fantastico menu.
Click New Installation on the right side. The link is black.
Fill out the form fields on the right side. Fantastico will start to install the script, and ask you to confirm the installation. Once confirmed, it will complete the installation and provide a link to your script.

Thanks so much but I am still lost. I did the one click install. It took days for me to get that simple answer and for that I am so grateful. It gave me the link to my admin page, but still shows as uninstalled in fantastico (smf). How do I get this forum to show on my forum.htm page?
May seem like dumb question but I am totally lost. Please, Please help me.
Pat

Thanks for link help in installing Fantastico. Never saw it before. I figured out how to access script by changing my link name.
Thanks again,
Pat
