If I get a sub-domain will the page be blank?

I've probably already answered my own question but when use a sub-domain, it'll look like my home page before I edited the public html, right?

Yes, when you add a sub-domain, it will create a default hostmonster page. Just try it and find out what happens.

Edit: What would the name be in my ftp files? I know my regular one is public_html but what would a second one be called? I guess it depends on my sub-domain's name?

Once you create a subdomain, inside your FTP, it will appear as a folder with the same name as the subdomain you chose.
