Hi.

I have SpamAssasin setup on my hostmonster accounts and it works great.

Is there a way to tell outlook express what folder to place emails based on SpamAssasin score? So if I get an email with a SpamAssasin score of 10, is there a way to tell outlook express to file anything 9 or over into a particular folder?

Yes, I know about the subject line rewrite and how to move it based on the "***SPAM***" word, but I am looking based on the score.

I like to setup 3 folders in my outlookexpress:

Very-Spammy :-)
Spammy
Maybe Spam

And have emails be placed in each folder depending on the score of SpamAssasin.

I'm not too sure how grainular OE is in its ability to create rules. It may be possible to create a rule based on header information such as SpamAssassin scores in Outlook, but I douby OE can do something like that.

Interesting question. I'm going to look into it.

Ok, I found that you can filter incoming mail based on the parameters you stated only in Outlook. Here is the link:

It is actually quite good. It's interesting what you learn everyday! I think I'm going to start using this type of filter on my emails now too!!

I don't know how you feel about thunderbird, but it has many of the same capabilities as Outlook 2003. You can even install a calendar system as an extension.

I use Thunderbird and just checked. You can created customized message filters based on header information just like you can in Outlook 2003. You might want to give it a try.
