I have uploaded Joomla (although I am not sure it is in the right directory), but I cannot access the installation page via Firefox. Help please!

Did you use Fantastico to install it?

If not, it needs to be inside the Public_HTML folder in your account before you can get to any files in it.

If you uploaded Joomla! manually, you had to follow the install instructions pretty precisely. This includes creating your MySQL database manually from inside CPanel and changing the config file in the Joomla! folder you downloaded from their site. There are more steps, but these two are the most important.

I recommend using Fantastico to install Joomla! as it automates the entire process.

It's hard to tell you how to fix your problem because you really didn't give any details about it. If you need help, either tsnyder or I can do it as we both have Joomla! installed on our sites and are fairly comfortable with the program.
