I am new. Which CMS option is the easiest to use? I want to build a website on a sports related subject, providing information, and having a forum or blog for people to input their ideas and comments. I would also like to inlcude Wordpress for the blog. Can I use a CMS and include WP too?

What type of sports your doing?

I personally like Joomla and e107, you could also try cmscout, drupal, textpattern. Install all of them and see which one you like the best. That's what I did and liked joomla out of all of them.

I'm pretty sure you could install WP with most of these, but, your users are going to have create a account for both programs you use.

Unless you use a bridge to allow both programs to share the same user database. Doing this however, gets away from the ease-of-use the original poster is looking for.

I personally don't think you need a program as big as a CMS. I believe a Wordpress install will suffice. You can let your users contribute through comments and post your articles there.

If you are dead set on installing a CMS, I would suggest Joomla! as well, along with the Fireboards component to allow your users to contribute to articles that way. This last option gives you a CMS and forum all wrapped up in one bundle.

You can see the Fireboard component at my main site, www.4christministry.org (http://www.4christministry.org), and another site I made, www.holywrit1.com (http://www.holywrit1.com)
