I would like to set up my home page so its address reads simply my domain name followed by .com. Now, however, when I type in that url, I get my index. Is there a way to have it go directly to my home page instead? Thanks in advance

your homepage should be named index.html, that way when you go to www.yoursite.com you will go to your website's homepage.

Thanks webing...but will I be able to see a webpage with the links to all urls (just as I do now on the index page)?

Nope, that only happens when you haven't uploaded your homepage.
when you upload yor homepage those links are removed by your homepage. :) :)

Okay. Is there any way I can have my site.com show my home page and access a different site to see an indexed list of all my urls?

I found it. My home page for my business is at mysite.com
To see the index, I used the Temporary FTP Address in HM's first email to me. Going there the url was shortened in the window, but I bookmarked it. Then I opened the properties tab of the bookmark, and reinserted the full URL. For a newbie, I did pretty well.
Thanks webing for your time and pointing me along my way.
