I am administering a number of email addresses, each of which have boxtrapper enabled. I thought that if my users send an email to another person, that person's email address is automatically added to user's whitelist. This is not happening, and replies are getting trapped in the queue. In other words, if I send a message to Bob, and Bob is not currently in my whitelist, Bob's email address is not automatically added to my whitelist, and Bob's messages get trapped in the queue. Do I have an incorrect setting somewhere? Thanks for any and all help!

I don't think so. I am not sure there is a "site-wide" boxtrapper whitelist, though you would think there would be.

The thing about boxtrapper is that you HAVE to enter addresses into the whitelist, or the sender HAS to reply to the inquiry email.

The concept is good because it effectively eliminates spam, but the execution is terrible because it forces customers/friends/family to respond to a seperate email before they can send anything to your address. It's why I haven't used the program in more than a year.

Thanks for the info. Apparently, it doesn't actually work as advertised. Under the Boxtrapper configuration page the following is stated: "NOTE: It is important to understand that even if BoxTrapper is enabled and automatic white-listing is disabled, ANY e-mail address you send mail to will automatically be added to the white-list without your interaction. Since you are in effect interacting with the e-mail address, BoxTrapper assumes you welcome interaction with them and automatically white-lists the e-mail in question."
Well, I have Boxtrapper and automatic white-listing enabled, but it still doesn't seem to automatically whitelist recipients of email from me or my users. Bummer!
