long story short:
i got site built on Flash 8. it includes FLV player wich does progressive load of .flv videos.
i'm testing it from different PCs i have at home - one with Windows98 and another WinXP. both PCs are connected to the same DSL line trough the same modem/router.

here's the mistery:
on Win98 machine it works perfectly, site loads fast and videos play smothly.
but on WinXP - those videos download into player very slow, thus makig bufferig slower than playback. as a result i get jerky video and sound.

and the site itself loads very slow on XP machine. it kinda starts to load fast but after a sec or two speed drops and goes on like on dial-up.
please, any ideas?

It happens only with your site or with all the websites you get in from your XP machine?

Remember your site is going to be seen around the world...so that may happen from time to time

I have just signed up with HM and intend on publishing a lot of flash video on my site, using macromedia flash 8. I have notuploaded my site yet but I am concerned about how well the servers will handle strong video activity. My video clips will be 28.5 mins. I am curious to know how big your files are. What is your website so that I can get an idea of how slow the files load. Thanks
