FTP question

Just a silly question, but I'm new at this: I use dreamweaver, and I want to upload my website using FTP program. I am asked my user and password. When I put in my username and password used to enter my control panel it doesn't work. Any help please?

Download a program called smart FTP, it's good :P

Download >> google.com type smart FTP go to website/download page...

Install... Run the program,

Site name: http://yoursite.com
Click the 'green' arrow.

When it prompts for your username and password use your database username and your password for it.

Your cpanel >> http://www.yoursite.com/cpanel
Username: yoursite.com
password: your password

I'm having a similar problem but I don't know how to find this ftp info for dreamweaver.

Host Name:
Login:
Password:

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. I went to the domain and it gives directions there. thanks.

another really food FTP program that is completely free is FileZilla (http://filezilla.sourceforge.net).
I've used others, but this one is robust. It also allows for secure FTP.
