blackberry bold & work email

Hi
Someone on here posted that if you want to sync your work email to ur blackberry you need to get your Network Administrator to install something? Anyone got any ideas what they need to do and also if there is any way around this?
I currently have my work email to forward mail to my Blackberry email account but I can't push email, because if I hit reply I reply to my Blackberry email account!!!

Any help out there?

You should be able to set your blackberry up to check any pop3 or imap account, though I'm not sure how many different account you can have in a Blackberry. I believe it is only one.

If you want to send and receive email on your blackberry, you have to get your Network Admin to set up and install Blackberry Enterprise Server. There is a free version that is trimmed down and only allows a max of 15 users. To do this through your work, your server will have to have either Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino or Novell Groupwise.

There is also something you can install that should have come with your Blackberry phone called Desktop Manager (or redirector). This will integrate with Microsoft Outlook and forward all email received to your Outlook account on to your Blackberry. The downside of this is that your workstation will have to remain on if you want to software to work.

The server software is preferred as servers are usually always kept on, thus eliminating the need to keep your workstation on in order to receive email to your phone.
