How do you add ads on a php forum?

- adsense
- affiliates
- banners

I see these things at the top of forums, at the bottom, inside the frame towards the top, on the side, all over the place.

How do you insert these into the forum frame and on the outside?

Those features will require special mods that you must install into your forum separately from the base installation. Each forum software version will have mods that are supported and specific to it.

would I be able to install these mods to an already installed php forum, which was installed via Fantastico?

Yes you can. However, these mods cannot be installed through Fantastico or SimpleScripts.

You will have to manually upload and change a few files in order to get the mods to work. Check out the phpBB mod repository for general instructions. More specific instructions will be contained within the mod package.
