Minimun guaranteed bandwith

I want to know, what is the minimun bandwith guaranteed by hostmonster per account? 128kbits/s? 256kbits/s? 1Mbit/s? More? Or there's no minimum and if all the sites in your shared server/connection are getting high traffic you can get even lower than 128kbit/s?

And for short, peak traffic periods, what's the maximum accepted?

I don't know about this and I woud like to know too. I'm sure there must be some performance benchmark.

There are a couple posts ("hosting service" and "site down") of people discussing their frustration with hostmonsters slow servers. I think they must have a few thousand websites on a Pentium II!!!

Actually you can see they are using Opteron 270 (4 cpu's) per box on most of the boxes, and averaging 450 accounts per box.

Where can I find the server model or the number of CPUs that my web site is hosted?

Just log in to your Cpanel and at the very top, there's a button called Account Info. Click on that you will be brought to a page that has two columns of information. The right column contains the server information. Click on the server status to see the number of CPUs.
