and now, my hard drive crashed and I cannot find my box / disc holder with the license code.

anyway, I talked with MS and they said it is so old I should purchase new software.

well, we are a charity with zero cash....

I ran across this joomla, what is it, or better yet what can I use to take over updating my site? is joomla what I want to use, would I have to rebuild the entire site?

sandiegoelks168.org is the site, I just need to be able to update it month to month

thanks my email is mdsd77@gmail.com

Um..

Well the advantage of using Joomla is that you will have a shiny new site" It takes a bit of learning but nothing in terms of code. There should be a way to install it and stick with the old site, then when you delete index.html it should automatically go to index.php.

It's free, and when it's all done your site should look much better. You can also download the pictures you have there now and re-use in your Joomla site.

okay thank you, how about this concrete5?

I activated it by using the script area and now I have no idea of what to do.

do I have to totally redesign my site with concrete then re upload it.?

I was so comfortable and brain dead with frontpage, are any of these like that.

thanks for your help..md

Did you create any backups with your time with hostmonster cause the backups should still be on your server if you didn't delete them, As of frontpage compared to Joomla is more of a quality taste. If you have no plans on updating your site on a monthly basis stick with Frontpage but if you want to keep making up new designs and want all the eye candy that comes with premium sites then go for joomla. Joomla is more for your dedicated web designer as it is always being updated by the community so you always have to keep up to date with new changes and features. If you want to keep upgrading your site to be faster and better go for Joomla if you're happy the way things are stick with Frontpage.

yes I did a back up, but I also just removed concrete5 and my original page is back.

I need to research all this as I have no frontpage ability anymore.

If you want to know what Joomla! is like, you can shoot over to my demos site and play around with Joomla!. There is a demo login account so you can access the backend and get a feel for it.

Yea I would heartily recommend Joomla - easy to install and easy to use.
