I was talking to sales (Jordan H.) earlier to clarify things before I fill up my credit card info and sign up for package. This guy sux and doesn't want business.
I ask him that in their signup form, there are two options, signup hosting package, get free domain with free private registration OR transfer domain.
so i was trying to clarify if I will get FREE transfer, FREE renewal (instead of free domain) and FREE private registration as in the first option. He just said you CAN have private registration with them if you transfer. so i ask him again, and he quit my chat few times, and eventually say very unprofessional stuffs.
I've kept the log, and guess what, I'm going to post it to every host review page that I know and those that I'll visit in the future too.
HostMonster.com SUX and they don't care about their customers.

There is a Golden Rule I learnt early in My sales career. Never Bash your competition, but instead stay in touch with your customer. When he feels dissatisfied, pitch in & try & comfort the user.
So my suggestion: Please post it. Why? Because knowing Matt (CEO of Hostmonster/Bluehost) & others at Hostmonster they will try & improve further. That improves my services. So Thanks.
Once you have used the services of competition & their support (My suggestion type any webhost with the keyword "sucks" on Google & you will get great Reviews about them all), I am sure you would re-consider Hostmonster.
Please take me as a friend if you want to & take my word for it: In SHARED HOSTING (I emphasize SHARED HOSTING), Hostmonster is one of the best (Otherwise better take a dedicated server & take control in your hands). You can read my experience in my signature.
Navsguardar,
Thanks for those words of reassurance. I've been dealing with the support center trying to get them to understand that all I need is to have the antipam(spamassassin and postini) to block more spam because it just isn't working right now. Could you please talk to the CEO Matt to see if he can help me solve the problem. Everyday, along with other spam I get in my inbox, there is this one email that has the word "VIAGRA" in the from field. I think if support could only get rid of this one, the spam problem would probably be solved too. Help!

Yes I am not a customer because I was treated like a **** when I want to clarify things. I don't see what's wrong for me to ask such question. but what does it have to do with whether if I am a customer? I am not even a customer yet, and this is the treatment that I get, it's everyone's guess after I make my payment.
I don't intend to bring down anyone, I just want to share my experience with this, as I said, I almost sign up for it, i just want to make sure I can have my existing domain renewed instead of registering for a new one.
I thought this is where ppl share their experience, why are you being so hostile for me to make such comment? if you are the boss or the employee, then please and please, take some action on your pre-sales service.
I am not commenting on the quality of your service, like what you said, I am nto your customer. I am merely commenting on your pre-sales service, which makes me feels so weird to have such pre-sales and I can't imagine what will it be like if I join.

I really hope so mate, as it is really sux if you are in my position, i merely wanting to clarify stuffs, and being treated like ****. first customer service was ok, the 2nd one i talk to on the 2nd day (to the same person many times on 2nd day) is really sux. If Matt wants to improve, take action on this guy first.

@leom: Yes I agree there is a great room for improvement as in any other service. As far as contacting Matt is considered, please get in touch with him on his blog http://www.mattheaton.com .
2) I cannot do anything directly with Spamassasin @ HM but can suggest a tweak if that is ok with you. Use Google Apps or even Live services. Direct your MX records to them & use as many emails@yourdomain as you want for free with Gmail or Hotmail's interface & ofcourse their spam guards. I use shared hosting with a few more hosts & spam is a problem with all of them. I prefer using Google Apps.
@Lostclient: Mate I am again putting forward the same point of view. There are issues with all shared hosting (Read you get what pay. I too want the best services for the least price, but I know where to draw the line to my expectations). Even to leom I said the same thing either get the best services (Type Amazon Web Services (i.e. Cloud Computing) with the keyword spam & you would get to know even giants have a problem with spam, but anyways) or take things in your control (Google apps for eg. in this case)
I hope I made some sense.
God Bless

again, you miss the point. I am not idealist, like what i said since my first post, I just want to clarify things, i am not asking for everything for $3.95. I just want to clarify things that is not clear, i guess that is a reasonable thing to do by any consumer, regardless of what business you are in. There is no perfect hosting, that's why i want to clarify things before I purchase.
