I have to warn all people here. HM just closed my site without prior notice. I was able to use my site about 3 months, but I paid for 1 year! They promised to give me a refund for the 8 months I wasn't able to use their services. I haven't received anything yet! It was on August 2008 when I paid, and I have been trying to get this refund for a very long time now. I suspect they even banned my IP, cause I wasn't able to open support tickets! I changed my IP, and then it worked again!:mad:

They closed my site which they claimed to eat too much CPU, but the same site with an other hosting (where it is right now) is still up, the hosting can handle 5-7 times heavier traffic easily! Hostmonster is just a scam company. Liars too.:mad:

Somehow this doesn't surprise me. I hope I have better luck getting my money back from them.

My account was banned, with no warning (see a few posts down)--- apparently there were 'too many connections' to the server. Would have been easy for me to solve, or at least reduce the impact of, but I was given no warning... nothing. Just a notice that I had 15 days to get my data the heck off their servers. I've been promised my money back for the remainder of the term (think I renewed for 2 years). Hopefully I can get at least some of that money back.

<speculation>
I think Hostmonster is probably facing some over subscription/lack of funds issues, so they are booting any of the higher demand sites, and leaving the people who don't actually use any resources.
</speculation>

They have to keep those shared servers running and it seems that yours was messing it up.

They just don't close accounts, I've been with them for 6 years and never had a single problem. Raising your language won't help at all, trust me.
