I want to buy another domain, something like www.domain.co.il (Israeli domain) but I want to host it with hostmonster. I know it's possible. How would I do it?

Just purchase your domain elsewhere and and point the nameservers to ns1.hostmonster.com and ns2.hostmonster.com. You may have to signup as a transfer client before the registrar will let you point the nameservers.

Hey thanks for the prompt reply.

What is ns1.hostmonster.com and ns2.hostmonster.com, and how do I signup as a transfer client? Do you mean in hostmonster or in the place where I buy the domain?

To sign up as a transfer client. You just click on the signup now icon at hostmonster.com. Then you will see option "New Client" or "Transfer Client" Chose Transfer client. Type in the domain name you bought or are going to buy.
the ns1 are nameservers these are what tells your domain where to go to reach your webhost. These you will enter in at your registrar of choice (where you buy your domain name. It usually will ask for them or you may have to login and enter them after buying your domain.

Well, I already have a hostmonster server, can I just add another domain to it?

Of course. If you already have an account, you can add any country domain to the service, just have the nameservers set at your registrar.

I've checked it out, and unfortunately, the transfared domains can only be .com, .orh and such not foreign domains like .co.il

You don't need to transfer the domain for it to work. Whoever you buy the domain from, tell them to set the nameservers to ns1.hostmonster.com and ns2.hostmonster.com

You don't even need to know how it works. Just cut and paste the following to where you bought your domain name from:

"Can you please set the nameservers of my domain to ns1.hostmonster.com and ns2.hostmonster.com"

Yea, it is best to get these types of domains from other domain name restration companies and then you can transfer them to HostMonster.
